Writing Your Storybook

1.      Complete the questionnaire. It may be impossible for you to answer all question but you should get most. This questionnaire will help you with your book.

 

2.      Write a “rough” draft

·        Your storybook should be at least 8 pages

o       Each page should have at least one paragraph of information

o       Paragraph = 5-7 sentences

·        Write a chronological history of your life

o       Page 1: 0-2 infancy

o       Page 2: 2-4 toddler

o       Page 3: 5-6 early childhood

o       Page 4: 7-10 school age – childhood

o       Page 5: 11-14 adolescence

o       Page 6: Who I am today – family

o       Page 7: Who I am today – like and dislike, favorites

o       Page 8: My future

 

3.      Final storybook

·        Each page’s paragraph should be typed – we will be going to the lab on select days. See calendar below.

·        Each page should have a picture

o       You may draw the picture or you may use one or more family snapshots

§         NOTE:  Do not steal family photos without asking… print out digital, scan here if necessary…. Do not cut up family pics without permission! Do not use anything really valuable that you would feel horrible about losing. But, you may decorate pages as you wish.

 

 

 

The assignment will be marked for creativity, thoroughness,

 and writing and communication skills.
