Anthropology: Culture Iceberg Project

Culture is a shared set of beliefs, practices, attitudes and behaviors that are passed down from one generation to the next. Culture is not only the things that are visible from the outside – food, dress, music, language, dance or crafts; it’s also things that are invisible – concepts of beauty, ideas about family, even, what’s funny.

Geography: Developing Nations Webquest

Under developed and developing nations play an important role in the world economy. The modern economy relies heavily on trade.  To understand the modern economy, one must understand trade and its role in the world economy.  If it was not for trade, we would not have many of the goods that we use in or daily lives.  To truly understand the world economy, one must understand the relationship between the nations that trade and the development of the nations of the world.

You are a newly elected leader of an under developed or developing nation.  You have been charged with developing an economic plan to develop your country into an economic contender.  Before you can do this, you need to research how your country compares to others in the world.
